High School Volunteers

Summer Camp 2024

Do you enjoy STEM? Do you want to participate in an exciting outreach opportunity this summer? Do you like working with young students also excited about STEM? You should consider volunteering at Challenger.

Challenger Maine is looking for 1-2 high school student volunteers for each week of summer camp. High school students would assist during camp in the following ways:

  • Assist with experiment and activity prep work.
  • Assist Camp Staff during camp activities with students.
  • Assist with experiment and activity setup and teardown.
  • Help spread an enthusiastic and cheerful attitude at Challenger summer camp.

High school students will need to apply using the form below. All high school students will need to complete a virtual or in-person interview. All high school students will be required to participate in a half day of training prior to the start of their volunteer week(s). Each volunteer will be required to register for 1 full week of summer camp, but will be allowed to assist with up to 2 weeks.

Below are the weeks available for volunteering. The mandatory volunteer training date in June 12, 4-5 PM. It will be a required 1 hr training at Challenger. More camp information can be found at the following webpage: click here

High School Volunteer Application is open and will close on June 7th. Summer Camp week preference is first come, first serve.
