Looking for a team building experience that goes beyond the ordinary? At the Challenger Learning Center of Maine, your group won’t just participate, you’ll collaborate, problem solve, and take on the roles of scientists, engineers, and mission specialists in our unique space simulations.
Whether you're planning a corporate retreat, school staff development, or organization wide experience, our programs are designed to strengthen communication, leadership, and teamwork in a truly out of this world environment.

Our unique venue offers a diverse range of engaging team building experiences
Welcome Session (Included with every event)
Kick off your experience with an engaging introduction to the Challenger Learning Center, mission objectives, and team roles. This sets the stage for collaboration and success.
Full Space Mission – Expedition Mars or Lunar Quest (2 hours)
Your team steps into a fully immersive, role based simulation where participants act as scientists, engineers, and mission control specialists. Teams must communicate, solve problems, and work together to complete a high stakes space mission.
Mini Mission – Lunar Quest (45–60 minutes)
A condensed version of the full mission experience, ideal for tighter schedules or smaller groups. Participants still engage in critical thinking, teamwork, and decision making in a fast paced lunar simulation.

Self Guided Team Building Activities (1 hour or more)
Conduct hands on challenges designed to strengthen communication, leadership, and collaboration in our multipurpose space.
Speaker Breakout Sessions (1 hour or more)
Interactive sessions led by your speaker(s). Add discussion roundtables, guest training sessions, or other skill building activities to make the day impactful. Speaker sessions are great for adding educational depth and reflection to your team building experience.
Custom Experiences – Built for Your Group (1 hour or more)
Looking for something different? We specialize in tailoring experiences to fit your goals. Whether it’s a professional development day, strategic planning session, training workshop, or something completely outside the box, our space and team can adapt to meet your needs. If you can imagine it, we’ll work with you to make it happen.
