Launch Leadership Skills This Summer!

Do you love science, technology, or space? Are you looking for a fun and meaningful way to build experience, give back, and inspire younger students?

Join the Challenger Maine as a High School Summer Camp Volunteer.

Each summer, we welcome 1–2 high school volunteers per camp week to support our educators and campers during hands-on STEM adventures.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff with experiments and activity setup or cleanup

  • Help guide students through projects and games

  • Support educators during daily camp sessions

  • Bring enthusiasm, teamwork, and a positive attitude to every mission!

Requirements & Details:

  • Must be a high school student (grades 9–12)

  • Attend a mandatory 1-hour volunteer training session at Challenger in June (date TBD)

  • Commit to one whole week of summer camp (volunteers may assist for up to two weeks)

  • Complete a short application and interview (virtual or in-person; returning volunteers may be exempt)

  • July TBD: Robot Tech, Session 1
