Train Like an Astronaut!
Hands-on science, experiments, and discovery for K–5 students
Looking for something fun to do with the kids before Thanksgiving? Join us at the Challenger Learning Center of Maine for a special public Exploration Lab!
Designed for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, this hands-on STEM experience gives young scientists the chance to explore the science and engineering behind human spaceflight. Students will conduct experiments, test ideas, record observations, and discover how scientists use evidence to solve problems.
From exploring scientific concepts to working through experiments with other young learners, participants will get a taste of what it takes to train like an astronaut and think like a scientist!
A Few Things to Know Before You Come
This is not a drop-off event. A parent or adult caregiver must stay with their child for the duration of the program.
For our kindergarten–2nd grade scientists, adult assistance with reading experiment instructions may be needed.
Come ready to experiment, ask questions, make observations, and have fun exploring STEM!
