Family STEM Night Featuring Space Girl: An Astronaut’s Dream Takes Flight
Join the Challenger Learning Center of Maine for an inspiring evening of family STEM fun celebrating Maine astronaut Jessica Meir and the power of dreaming big!
This free community event will feature local Maine author Suzanne Buzby Hersey and her new children’s book, Space Girl: An Astronaut's Dream Takes Flight, which tells the story of Maine’s own astronaut Jessica Meir and her incredible journey toward becoming a NASA astronaut.
During the evening, Suzanne Buzby Hersey will present a live reading of the book, sharing the inspiring message that curiosity, perseverance, and a passion for science can launch extraordinary dreams.
Families will then have the opportunity to explore hands-on STEM activities throughout the Challenger Center designed to engage children and adults alike in science, engineering, and space exploration.
This family-friendly event is perfect for aspiring astronauts, young scientists, educators, and anyone inspired by Jessica Meir’s story and Maine’s connection to space exploration.
